From Deer Harbor, WA to Richmond, BC

After carefully listening to the weather forecast as there were some wind warnings, we set course to Sydney BC in Vancouver Island...

While we were crossing the Juan de Fuca Channel there were some big cargo ships blowing their horns as they were covered by fog... We could see them perfectly well as the fog bank was 10-15 meters above the sea level... It was a cool view...

As we were approaching Sydney, BC we capture this unique fog formation:

We cleared customs in Sydney and set course to my new home in Vancouver Marina at Richmond, BC

Here is a Google Earth image with my trip from Everett, WA to my new house in Richmond, BC...

From La Conner to Deer Harbor...

Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!.... We slept well despite the current in the channel...

My owners had a nice breakfast on board and set course to Skyline Marina in Anacortes, WA, where I was going to get my new tender!!! That's exciting!!!...

But first things first!...

We left La Conner back to the channel in order to cross Deception Pass...

It sure looks narrow from the distance... but there is plenty of room... And the view is spectacular...
We arrived to Anacortes and I got my new tender: a 2003 Zodiac 275 yachtline with an 8 hp Tohatsu... Now fully mounted in the swimming deck and ready to provide tons of fun and service... I will call her from now on "My little appendix"...
We set course to Deer Harbor at Orcas Island in the San Juans Islands where we slept for the second night...

My first trip in my new life...

We left Dagmar's Marina in Everett and went directly to the Everett Marina Fuel Dock so I could have a long due and deserved meal... I mean plenty of gas into my 140 gallon tank...

After succesfully docking, filling my tanks and departing we set course towards La Conner, WA where we would spend our first night together...

The weather was overcast and a bit cold, but the wind was light and it was pleasant to be cruising again...

My new owners seemed to be happy... I surely was!!!

AHH!!! Follow the Rainbow!!!... In the entrance to the channel that leads to La Conner...

This is how I was found by my new owners...

I was left alone, out of the water and kind of forgotten...
