At last!!! We went to Bowen Island again!

It has been a while since I last talked to you all!!!

Lots have happened since the last time... For starters winter came in and I waited patiently for the weather to improve. Then I got a dead head lodged between my hull and the bottom of the river as the tide was going down but, fortunately, nothing happened to my hull, I just got a minor tear in my command bridge canvas as I got compressed with the ceiling of my boat house. I also got a haul out to replace my antifoul paint and to service my legs... It feels so great to have neww bottom paint and the legs all ready to go!

Any way, the weather started to improve and on April 12th my skipper, the admiral, the 3 sailors (both the two and four legged) as well as 2 guests took me out to Bowen Island for a short trip.

As I was taking my crew gently down the river I came across what initially seemed a sad encounter, but after a while I came to the conclusion that instead of being a grounding it was a case of intentional beaching to clean the hull of this fishing boat...

We continue our trip until we reached Steamship Marina at Bowen Island without any incidents and great weather conditions.

Once at the marina we went for a stroll and the kids started to fish...

Although they didn't catch anything...

But we had a great dinner!

And while dinner was being served I got really scared because a really big boat tied at the dock right behind me!!!

But, luckily for me, Antonio made sure that the big boat's anchor was not going to fall over my stern!!!

After the crew finished dinning we went back home and now I am waiting for our next trip!!!
